What you may do

• View, run, study, and modify KSword-owned code covered by the license.
• Free-distribute the original or a modified version while complying with the conditions, and charge for genuine installation, configuration, training, customization, or support services.
• Provide hosted services or SaaS under the license conditions; commercial use is allowed, but the software itself may not be sold.

Distribution requirements

• Keep the full license, copyright, source information, and official repository address.
• When distributing a modified version or providing its functionality through an online service, provide the complete source corresponding to the actual version and keep it available for at least three years after the last distribution or service.
• Clearly identify the modified version as unofficial and disclose significant changes, the source version, modification date, and source address.
• Do not sell the software itself, impersonate the official project, misuse official marks or infrastructure, or relicense the software; the license also grants no patent license.

Third-party code and plugins

Qt, ADS, System Informer DynData, and other third-party components retain their own licenses. Plugins may have independent licenses; the license for KSword-owned code does not replace license files in plugin directories, upstream projects, or binary packages.

LICENSE in release packages

The current build and release process copies the root LICENSE into the release directory. The in-app license page also reads that file from the program directory. If a binary package is missing LICENSE, use the current repository version as the reference and report the packaging issue.
